RULES

General

1. smallfandomkinkmeme is a 'choose not to warn' experience. Warnings for common triggers/squicks in prompts & fills are appreciated, but not mandatory. Please understand that by using this community, you are acknowledging that you may be exposed to kinks, pairings, prompts, or fills that you find objectionable. DW Blocker is a helpful extension for blocking keywords.
   
   
2. Your kink is not my kink, and that's okay (YKINMYKATO or KINKTOMATO). Kinkshaming of any sort will not be tolerated.
   
   
3. Don't be that much of an asshole. The mods reserve the right to screen or delete prompts, fills, and discussion that crosses the asshole line. This includes bullying and real-world -isms.
   
   
4. All comments must be anon. If you would like to be politely banned to avoid anon-failing, leave a logged-in comment on the the mod post or email smallfandomkinkmeme AT gmail DOT com. Anonfail comments will be screened. IP addresses are logged to combat trolls and spammers.
   
   
5. SPOILER POLICY: If you are posting spoilers for recently released episodes/issues/movies/books/etc., please note in the subject and/or body of your prompt or fill that it contains spoilers. However, due to the multi-fandom nature of the community, and the mods' inability to know everything about all of the canons, smallfandomkinkmeme is NOT a spoiler-free zone. Please prompt and fill at your own risk.
   
   
6. Subject lines should only be changed if you're posting a prompt or a fill. Indicators like 'OP' or 'Author!Anon' should go in the body of the comment.
   
   
7. Embedded images or videos are not allowed and any comments with them will be screened.
   
   
8. Drop a comment on the mod post if you have any questions or problems.

Prompts

1. All types of prompts are welcome. Prompts do not need to be shippy or kinky.
   
   
2. Please post your fandom-specific prompt into the appropriate post (prompts for book fandoms should go in the Book post, TV fandoms into the TV post, etc.).
   
   
3. Non-fandom specific prompts (e.g. Any Fandom) should go to the "Any Fandom" post.
   
   
4. Subject lines must contain the fandom requested.
   
   
5. Use the subject line for the main idea of your prompt (fandom, pairing or characters/keywords/kink).
   
   
6. Warnings for common triggers and squicks (non-con, incest, underage, etc.) are appreciated but not mandatory. Again, smallfandomkinkmeme is a Choose Not To Warn experience.

Fills

1. Put [FILL] or something similar in the subject line when posting a fill.
   
   
2. Announce your fill on the Fills Post.
   
   
3. Long fills can either be posted over multiple comments, or posted on AO3 and linked back here.
   
   
4. Multiple fills are always okay! In that vein, please do not "claim" prompts.
   
   
5. Fills can be anything! Fic, art, vids are all welcome.
   
   
6. If it wasn't written specifically for the prompt, it doesn't count as a fill. You are welcome to provide a link to already existing fic that does fit the prompt, in case the prompter hasn't seen it, but it doesn't count as a fill.

Question for a mod: would Shakespeare be classified as Literature or Live Theater? I assume the Live Theater category is meant for musicals and stage plays but The Bard can be classified either way.

Shakespeare in general would be Books & Literature, but specific versions of stage plays would be classified as Live Theatre.

What qualifies as an "active" kink meme? I see you've listed burnkink, which is a mirror of burnkink. The Dreamwidth mirror isn't active at all; there's only one prompt between the two posts on that mirror. Meanwhile, the LJ meme stopped being active around 2014 or so.

I think that one got added when I was trying to get a list of ALL kinkmemes. I gave up on that pretty quickly, but some inactive memes slipped through. As it's inactive, I'll remove it.

I added this to the FAQ post, but I consider a kink meme "active" if at least one fill has been posted in the last six months.

Teen Wolf?

As far as I can tell, there is no active Teen Wolf kinkmeme. (The most recent fill I can find on any of them is from July 2015.) But Teen Wolf is still a megafandom, so I feel weird prompting for it without asking first: Would Teen Wolf be welcome on this kinkmeme?

Since it doesn't have an active kink meme, it qualifies. However, we reserve the right to revoke that status if it starts to take over (which means it should be able to support its own kinkmeme, not because we don't like it!)

Kinda curious, mod: Why are cartoons and comics lumped in together with anime/manga? All three of those fandom blocks have their own distinct histories, traditions, and ways of doing things, especially anime/manga fandom. Not saying it's a mistake, I'm just curious about the reasoning there.

I was trying to find a balance between enough distinction to make finding things easy, but not so much that there are a million posts. My original plan was to split everything out into AO3-style fandom categories, but that would have gotten unwieldy very quickly. This was a compromise.

The categories are not set in stone. If, as the community grows, splitting them off into two posts makes sense, we'll reassess.

Question: is "Fullmetal Alchemist" an accepted fandom? I ask because it does have its own kink meme (http://fullmetal-kink.dreamwidth.org/647.html), with a fill as recent as January (although it doesn't exactly seem like the place is buzzing with activity). However, you did use FMA in the anime/manga post as an example of a fandom with different canons.

(FWIW, the handful of prompts posted to the FMA kink meme in the last few days were mine, to see if anyone would bite over there. Nothing doing yet, but then, my pairs are rare.)
