Forgot to add -- I would love it if their relationship was never consummated the first time around in Camelot or even really acknowledged as anything more than friendship so that when Damien puts the moves on Merlin in the present, Merlin feels like he may be betraying his king somehow by allowing Damien's advances, tainting the 'purity' of their bond.
